A typical Apulian taralli,traditionally prepared by hand. Crumbly and crunchy with an elongated shape, the dough is first left to leaven before it is divided into smaller pieces which are then boiled, dried and baked at 180°. A dietary staple in Apulia, this nutritious, healthy and tasty regional product is as important as bread, and is a perfect example of simple Mediterranean food. Perfect for appetizers and aperitifs, they also make a great accompaniment for every kind of cold cut and cheeses. They are also excellent as a delicious snack eaten at any time of the day.
